Experience the Fantastic "Clash of the Titans"

I am shaking in my leather battle skirt with excitement for the upcoming movie, Clash of the Titans.

This movie features an all star cast of Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes. My strappy leather gladiator shoes are a clamoring. All sci-fi geeks rejoice.

This of course is a remake of the classic 1981 fantasy adventure film. The movie is about the myth of Perseus and his quest to battle both Medusa and the Kraken monster in order to save the Princess Andromeda.

If you were a kid growing up in the 80's and either saw this movie in the theater or the multiple times it showed on basic TV (mind you, for me this is BC-before cable), you must be smiling in anticipation.

At the time, I was blown away by the many characters

and creatures, like Medusa the Gorgon (one of the snake-perm & stone-turning gaze),

Bubo the mechanical owl,

and Calibos (some funny lookin' horned goat boy).

Over 20 years ago, stop motion special effects were state of the art. Suffice it to say, special effects has jumped leaps and bounds from the now vintage looking stop-motion technique used back in the day. Sci-fi creators have come a long way. Let's just say the awesome looking remake, scheduled to be released March 26, 2010, is well over 1981's $16 million budget.
