Life Imitates Art- The Wolverine
4:29 PM
Bleeding Cool just released a leak on the upcoming Wolverine flick, which is adapted from Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's classic limited series.
The production notes listed a who's who of the Wolverine characters that are central to the more scaled down story of Logan and his roots in Japan that involves a love triangle and his early ties to the Hand. Where the first film was loosely based on story threads from Origin and Wolverine V.1 #10 with an opportunity to showcase Ryan Reynolds for an upcoming Deadpool film...this sequel looks to do what they should have focused on originally, just Wolverine.
As if this wasn't enough to have us set a geeky-crotch tent-- Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) is on as the screenwriter with Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler) on the Director's chair and Hugh Jackman returning as our fave Canadian, beer-drinking furball.
Can't wait for all the crazy ninja-action, hopefully a Silver Samurai appearance and just good artistic film-making to make this follow in the steps of Batman's film refresh via Christopher Nolan.
